The Earth Horse Month begins June 6th, 2023 at 6:46 AM, in accordance with the Hsia Solar Calendar.
As we welcome the start of the Earth Horse month, we are off to the races. This is no gentle month but one, that if well managed, can be full of opportunity and celebration.
Horse energy is indisputably impulsive and highly volatile. Yet, there is also an intelligence and practicality to its wink of an eye. Along with the many joys that this Earth Horse month brings are valuable lessons about managing our own surging, brilliant, multicolored energy, in the most beneficial way.
Multi-tasking is a term most closely associated with Horse times and those skilled at multitasking will do well this month. This may require an ability to carry on several conversations at once and being adept at holding down two or three jobs at a time; while also attending to whatever is on hand. The Horse reminds us that the best multi-tasking brings joy and satisfies the soul. So choose your tasks wisely.
Freedom and independence are vital elements in the energy of the month. Optimism and joyful states are the order of the moment. A great deal of enthusiasm and boundless energy are available for those willing to forego ordinary routine and ignore the usual orders in favor of less restrictive activities. The energy of the month supports joyful gatherings and celebrations as well as the enjoyment of public musical and theatrical performances.
Outdoor activities, and especially aerobic exercise, are highly recommended this month, and can promote wellness and mitigate many health issues.
This month’s Horse is an Earth Horse. This is a gentler, more considerate and perceptive Horse Energy. Although this comes with a bit of indecision, it also brings additional gifts. The Earth Horse is astute in business and financial matters We can expect greater possibilities of financial improvements on both Main Street and Wall Street. The Earth Horse also has a more friendly nature. Perhaps a greater chance of resolution of conflicts for people of diverse and philosophically opposed beliefs.
The one caveat this month is the tendency to keep going nonstop. The down side is that the fullness of our experience can be easily missed. Take a pause; smell the roses; dwell in all that occurs. Give yourself the time to fully appreciate what is taking place. Allow the joy to fully inhabit your body, mind and spirit.
It is worthy to note that the Horse month ends on July 6 and is punctuated by the 4th of July; a most wonderful celebration of life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness.

Four Pillars for the Month
The prospects this month are very auspicious:
The energy of the two Rabbits and Sheep, combine well and complement the energy of the Horse Month.
Rabbit and Horse together form a combination known as “Flower of Romance”. This refers to energies that support romantic and passionate coupling; an increase in new possibilities if you are unattached; a renewal of passion if you are in a committed relationship.
Rabbit and Sheep belong to the same trinity group known as The Catalysts. This is a favorable combination and forms additional Wood element. Wood supports the starting and completion of creative endeavors.
Sheep and Horse are in a “Six Combination”. Another favorable combination.
In Essence we are likely to receive many blessings this month.
The Element Balance This Month:
Earth 44% – Wealth – Represents our rewards in life. We are rewarded for good deeds towards others, for the benefit of the greater good and especially by engaging in needed self care. Earth is also the Predominant Element. We can Finally exhale and enjoy the rewards we have coming to us; as a result of achievement and right action. Some of this may be in financial form, others in a more esoteric form.
Wood 34% – Day Element – The defining element in the chart. This is a weak Wood chart due to mitigation by the element balance. Still there is a very substantial amount of Wood in this chart which boosts the influence of Fire; Fire being the Fixed Element carried by the Horse.
Fire 22% – Expression – Represents our creativity and how we put ourselves out in the world. Most important is for us to strut our stuff and present our creative achievements to the world in every way possible.
Water 0% Resource – Represents support received from people, situations and the universe. There is zero available this month and we do best depending on our personal resources.
Metal 0% – Power – Power can manifest as Aggressive Power (power over) or Proper Power (power from within). There is zero power element this month. Those interested in gaining power, whether it is “Proper Power” or “Aggressive Power” will do better to choose a different course…
Ask any Horse and they will declare that constant motion and joyful activity are a necessary expression of their life force. With the knowledge that we cannot turn off the darkness, the Horse proceeds in the joyful abandon of its own vigorous, colorful power, to share the light with all.
Rearing on its hind legs the Horse stands tall and affirms: I am here; I am filled with life; I am filled with joy; and inspires us to do the same.
