Symbol of Hope
The sunflower is embraced by Ukraine as national flower and a symbol of hope. Historically, the sunflower arrived in the country mid-18th century and matched well with the weather, climate and region.
Beyond it’s beauty – sunflower seeds offer a satisfying and healthy treat. Sunflower oil became a major product for Ukraine and a huge export product. Sunflower oil is used in cooking, as a food, medicinally and for skin and beauty treatments.
The sunflower has become symbol of unity and strength in response to the Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. It can be seen internationally as a message of solidarity and support in opposing destruction and violence.

The sunflower is always facing the sun waiting for Apollo to return to reunite their love. Her love never gives up and always follows the sun.
